2019 Semi-Dry Riesling
This wine opens with a scintillating nose of candy lemons, peaches and honeydew. The palate has a ripe full bodied mouth-feel while deftly handing the balance between sweetness and acidity. This wine was made by cold fermenting fresh-pressed Riesling juice in stainless steel tanks. 3.4% Residual Sugar for a sweeter finish than a traditional Dry Riesling.
Winemaking Notes: Riesling is the grape of possibility. Unlike most of its fellow winemaking grapes, Riesling can be balanced and remarkable at any number of sugar and alcohol levels, and styles as diverse as ice wine and sparkling. Through it all though there is a certain fruit character and acid line that defines the grape in any conditions. Our Riesling vines were one of the first varietals planted in Treleaven Vineyards in 1984 and the age of the vines lend the resulting vintage depth and structure.
