2018 Tacie's Chardonnay
OWNER'S CHOICE: Pete Saltonstall's vision when first making this wine was to create a Chardonnay for the everyday. The concept behind this wine was two-fold. First and foremost, to make sure co-owner Tacie Saltonstall had a house wine that she enjoyed. Secondly was to create a Chardonnay that was approachable that could be enjoyed by itself or at the table. Typically, 60% malolactic fermentation and a selection of older oak barrels add subtle savory nuances to a core of lemon and green apple.
100% Estate Grown.
Winemaker's Notes: The Tacie’s Chardonnay is estate grown and produced Chardonnay. These vines were one of the first varietals planted in Treleaven Vineyards in 1984 and the age of the vines lend the resulting vintage depth and structure. Fermented and aged in blend of older French, Hungarian and American oak barrels
Food Pairings: Bay scallop chowder. Creamy mustard and tarragon chicken. Avocado and tuna tapas. Crab cakes
