• 87 Rating: Robert Parker "The 2013 Silver Lining Chardonnay "Treleaven" is unoaked and had no malolactic fermentation. This is a pretty nice deal. It is a bit flinty on opening, perhaps a touch of reduction, but that at least moderates quickly, although it didn't quite go away. It then adds a charmingly fruity side and respectable concentration for the level, finishing with a lush feel. It shows a bit more purity than the oaked Chards submitted this issue by the winery. This is about the fruit. It finishes nicely, easy to drink on its own or with food. Its fresher feel gives this some bragging points in the lineup. In many respects, but for that flinty note, I would have preferred it. If it isn't quite as good as the Reserve, style issues aside, it is even more nicely priced. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol." [tasted on 3/2016] • 88 Rating & Best Buy: World Value Wine Challenge, BTI "Silvery emerald straw color. Fruity, earthy aromas of champagne grape clusters, overripe apple, and honey with a supple, bright, dryish light-to-medium body and a smooth, stimulating, cheery starfruit and wintergreen finish with fine, fruit tannins and no oak. A very nice, delicately nuanced chardonnay in a drier style." [tasted on 8/20/15] • 84 Rating: Beverage Testing Institute "Delicate peach and mango aromas are layered in earth and smoke on this dry, yet plush and easy Chardonnay. The palate is pulpy in ripe, rich tropical fruit notes, but balanced by brisk, lemony acidity. Drink now." [tasted on 11/1/2014]
