2019 Cabernet Franc
Our 2019 Cabernet Franc is a polished, full-bodied wine with a nose of plums, black cherries, and graceful oak built around a core of sweet fruits. Composed of 85% Cabernet Franc from our estate vineyard on Cayuga Lake and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon from Sawmill Creek Vineyards.
Winemakers Notes: Aged for 9 months to allow the wine to knit itself together at its own pace. Fermented at low temperatures to promote fruit flavors and delicate extraction while the caps were pumped over regularly. Treleaven vineyards has cultivated the vines to have a clear separation between vigorous and deficient vines.
Food Pairing Notes: Steak au poivre, roasted pork loin with potatoes and herbs, baked brie with fresh blackberries, and roast chicken with herbes de provence.
