2019 Reserve Chardonnay
OWNER'S CHOICE: Pete Saltonstall's vision when first making this wine was to create a Burgundian style Chardonnay in the Finger Lakes. He achieved this by planting an assortment of Chardonnay clones that are now 35 years old, bringing a sophisticated depth and structure to this vintage. 100% malolactic fermentation and a Vintner curated selection of oak barrels add subtle nuances to this voluptuous and mouthwatering Chardonnay. The 2019 vintage has a nose of white flowers, honey and ripe apples. Which opens to a mouthfeel that is fluffy and round in texture.
100% Estate Grown.
Winemaker's Notes: The Reserve Chardonnay is slightly heavier on the oak than the Tacie’s Chardonnay and has more of a buttery, creamy texture. A mixture of 58% French, 34% American and 8% Hungarian oak barrels are used, leading to the “Reserve” title.
