The 2024 Dry Riesling bursts with vibrant notes of lemons, including lemon oil, lemon peel, and lemon zest, showcasing the warmth of the growing season. It possesses a slightly oily quality, featuring a rounder and richer texture that is well-balanced and smooth, with minimal sharp edges. This wine is compact and dense, providing a satisfying experience.

Winemaking Notes:

• Cold Soaking: Fifty percent of this Riesling underwent a 24-hour cold soak prior to pressing, enhancing the flavor and body extracted from the grape skins.
• Estate Production: This wine is crafted entirely from our estate vineyard, primarily sourced from our old vine block.
• Flavor Development: Grapes were left to hang on the vine for as long as possible to develop rich flavors and concentration before fermentation.​

Vintage Notes: Riesling is a grape of endless possibilities. Unlike many others, it can exhibit remarkable balance across a variety of styles, from ice wine to sparkling, and can thrive in diverse regions such as Australia and Germany. Throughout all conditions, it maintains a consistent character of fruit and acidity that defines the grape, showcasing its unwavering ability to reflect its terroir. 2024 was a warm dry year overall. Spring got an early start and despite frost concerns there was no serious damage unlike 2023. The crop was large and healthy, and consistently 10 to 14 days ahead of normal.

Food Pairing Notes: 

The higher acidity allows it to handle hearty sauces, high-end meats and light appetizers while simultaneously off-setting the tangy flavors of ginger and lime in Asian fare. I would also pair this wine with chicken, fish, salads, and spicy ethnic foods such as Cajun or Mexican.
